Renewal of Vows is often used by couples who for one reason or another feel the need for such a ceremony.

It may be that your original wedding ceremony was held overseas and now you would like to share the occasion with your family and friends in Australia, perhaps your original wedding ceremony was not as you had planned or you wish to celebrate a special anniversary or it may be very relevant to you if you have experienced difficult times in your relationship and now wish to celebrate your renewed commitment to each other.

Whatever your reason, this can and often is a very emotional and meaningful ceremony.  All the elements of a traditional marriage ceremony are suitable for renewal of vows. however, it must be clear that this ceremony is a renewal, not a marriage.

Prior to our first meeting take time to considers the options available to you and what has special meaning to you. Consider what words you would like to exchange with eachother.

You may wish to involve special people in your lives in some way, your children, guests who were at the wedding and any friends and relatives. You will also need to ask two people to witness the signing of the Certificate of the event.

At our first meeting I will need to confirm the date and venue with you and I will provide you with an information pack which will assist you in creating your very special day.
